Dr. M. Markiewicz: Statement to GDP regarding the case involving a photograph of Ł. Litewka by J. Owczarek

Last week, Dr. Michał Markiewicz gave an interview to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna regarding the high-profile case involving a photograph of Łukasz Litewka taken by Jagoda Owczarek, which was circulated as part of condolence messages. We thank editor Nadia Senkowska for the interview.

“From a copyright perspective, the case is not clear-cut. And although the photographer has a valid point, in my opinion there are grounds for concluding that any claims she might make would not be justified in this case.”
